Choices, Judgement and Life after Death (word find)

WALHT: Describe the relationship between the person one becomes in life, and ones's life after death.

In our lives God given us the freedom of our own choices and at the end of our lifes god judges us deciding if we go to Heaven or not.

Reading to Learn: Satellites

I have been reading to learn more about satellites. Using close reading skills I read across the text to connect information to help me understand more,I take notes about the key ideas and then use these to write a summary. After that I read another article about the same thing and then I compare and contrast information from both articles and write a synthesis.

Venn Diagram

Commitment,Perseverance, Excellence, Respect and friendship is what the players of each of these sports have. Their commitment is shown when they put in  years of training to complete their goal.

Walht:compare and contrast information from two articles to identify similarities and differences and then using that information to synthesize the key ideas that link to the values and skills of their sport codes.

Creating and analysing data displays

Spiders

Image result for spider wallpaperSpiders are from the Arthropod family, they can live from 1 to 25 years of age. Their Scientific name is Araneae. The largest Spiders can eat frogs, mice and even birds.
The Biggest spider on earth is call the Goliath Birdeater.

If you are looking to find an Araneae they can be found in every single place on earth except for the Antarctic area. The approximate population of spiders on earth was calculated around 40,000. They have eight legs which connect them to the Arthropods.

Araneae have a really sensitive skin so their hairs can sense danger and when it does the hair stands up and acts defensive to protect the spider. Two more interesting facts about spiders is that the female Spider can lay 3,000 eggs and the life span of a female is much larger than a male.

Overall I think that learning about spiders is fascinating and learning things about it will make want to learn more.

My Scary Experience

My Scary Experience

On Wednesday I decided that I was going to watch the movie Exorcism. In the description of the movie it said that people over 18 were allowed to watch this movie which fed my craving to watch it. I sat down with a packet of chips and lollies in my left hand and a drink and a sundae in my right.

The movie was about a girl named linda blair who was possessed by a demon which took over her life I was thinking about turning the movie off because nothing interesting happened until a Linda’s friend was killed by the demon in a factory. I got more and more scared from that moment onwards.

By the time that movie had ended I was unable to close my eyes and go out the bed thinking something was lurking underneath so I called my little sister(Angelina) to check if there was anything in my room. She disagree with me saying nothing was under there and when i got out my big sister(Joanna) jump scared me from underneath my bed,and now I check under my bed before i go sleep.

Sir Edmund Hillary

In reading this article I have been learning to combine close  reading and inference
skills to analyse text to learn more about the qualities of people known as heroes or leaders.

Sir Edmund Hillary was a man with determination and was most definitely a high achiever. As you should already know he was the first person to ever reach the top of Mount Everest with his companion Tenzing Norgay. Edmund Hillary has his face on the New zealand 5 dollar note and was knighted by the Queen for his bravery and achievement.

He was an advocate for the people including the children of Nepal. This was shown when he spoke out to inform and encourage people around the world to help financially to build  schools,  hospitals, clinics, an airfield and bridges, to improve the standard of living for the people.  He founded the Himalayan Trust which became a charity foundation to help support the needs of the people.  He can be described as an  inspiration.

He believed in helping those in need. He used his fame to get financial support for the needs he had seen for the people of Nepal. He believed his idea of: creating the Himalayan Trust would last a long time and would continue on helping people in the near and far future.

Although famous worldwide, he remained a humble man, who encouraged others to reach out and help when and where they could.

A New Year A New Start

Hello, I'm Isaac. This year is going to be the hardest year that I am going to face
because I'm a year 8 and being the oldest year in the school means we have to
lead the younger generation. Having this be the last year of us being in this school
every-one will expect us to do good like our teachers, fellow students and the colleges
that were thinking of going to next year.So this year I'm going to be the best person that I
can be and leave this school as a role model to the generation to come.
