Early Life

Nick Willis is a New Zealand representative of the sport running, He has been an active olympic member since 2004. In 2001 he was found by a Scout in lower hutt after he broke the record and created a new time of 4 minutes and 1.33 seconds for a mile and then left for the university of Mississippi.

This photo was taken at the 2016 World Indoor Championships when Nick Willis placed 3rd behind future Olympic champion Matt Centrowitz and Jakub HoluĊĦa.
Career
Four years later he was able to participate in the Golden League series in Paris and there he broke the 32 1500m year record from John Walker, then just a year later then won a gold medal in the 2006 Commonwealth Games which he completed in 3:38.49 minutes.

At 18 Nick willis began his professional career and became successful Olympian runner and became New Zealand’s golden boy of running.

Injury- Comeback
In 2010 Nick.W had unfortunately suffered a knee Injury and had to undergo surgery but against all the odds he managed to place 5Th as a defending champion then place 3rd in the following event.

Recently Nick Willis placed 3rd in his division for the 2016 Olympics and also became the oldest male olympian who still receive medals.

His plans for the 2020 Olympics is to change the distance he runs from 1500m to 5000m and hopefully he wins another medal.
